Thinking about Abortion?
Are you feeling that this is the wrong time for a baby? Maybe you're not ready to be pregnant. Maybe you don't want anyone to know. We understand.
Perhaps you're getting some pressure to make this decision. People like the baby's father, some close friends or maybe your parents are telling you to have an abortion. We get that too.
Getting all the Info
Okay, let's first make sure you have accurate information about what's going on. Are you really pregnant? And, if so, is your pregnancy viable? A large percentage of pregnancies do end in miscarriage, did you know that? You'll also need to eliminate the concern of a tubal pregnancy - this is very important. And, if you're pregnant, you'll need to find out how far along you are.
Is this really happening to you? Let us help you find out.
Abortions vary depending on how far along the pregnancy is. There's Manual Vacuum Aspiration, which can take place within 7 weeks after the last menstrual period. Dilation and Curettage (D&C), which is commonly performed 6-14 weeks after the last menstrual period, and Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) that can happen 13-24 weeks after the last menstrual period
You'll also need to know what your rights are with abortion providers and if there are any short or long-term risks to consider.
